NEXT NARRATIVE AFRICA

475 million Africans are expected to be online by 2025.

The demand for content targeted at African audiences is growing exponentially as Africa’s middle class grows. Next Narrative Africa focuses on youth-focused content that requires a robust content research and development process. We are especially interested in entertaining and authentic content that tackles issues related to democracy and governance, inclusive economic growth, climate, health, and gender and racial equity.

What we do:

Next Narrative Africa is a multimedia entertainment production company building an ecosystem that supports African & African Diasporan content creation to advance economic progress.

We do this in three ways:

  1. Develop and produce narrative-shifting content about Africa and people of African descent.
  2. Build a fund to support Black diasporan storytellers who are shifting the narrative about Africa and people of African descent.
  3. Leverage relationships with diverse stakeholders at events that bring the ecosystem together to support creativity and innovation.

Africa is the youngest continent on the planet. With a median age of just 19 years old, African youth will be at the forefront of content creation and consumption.

Led by Nigeria’s film and television industry Africa’s creatives and content producers are poised to influence a growing global audience through film, tv, music, fashion, gaming etc.

Positive images and stories about Africa have the power to transform the way the world sees Africa and Africans, and more importantly, the way Africans see themselves.
